Bell 206B Rewire

Synopsis:

The project involved a tip to tail refurbishment of the wiring, new engine and transmission harnesses and the installation of a new avionics package. We also installed Aero Led lighting along with other modifications to meet the operator’s requirements.

This helicopter was an early serial number and had been cared for, however the wiring and terminals were showing signs of wear and numerous splices could be found throughout the harness. A number of issues were detected when removal of the harness occurred. Our goal was to rectify any defects found, improve grounding and reliability. As a result the Skye Avionics Team burnished and treated all of the grounding points throughout the entire airframe. Refurbished the circuit breaker panel and rectified all defects that were discovered.

Along with the new wiring Skye Avionics provided a professional documentation package that included schematics of the entire avionics system. The total time of this complete project was an amazing 5 weeks. The Skye Avionics Team performed outstandingly and the customer was extremely pleased with the timeline and with the quality of work they received. This helicopter is now ready for many more years of service.
